National Early Childhood Intervention Council (NECIC)

The NECIC was set-up in February 2011 with the role to promote and emphasize the crucial components of effective early childhood intervention.  The National Council acts as a forum to discuss, advocate, monitor and review all policies and actions related to early childhood intervention.  We also aim to provide a voice on current issues through press releases and active participation in dialogues and roundtables meetings.

One of the main activities to develop human capital is to organize staff exchange programmes as well as the conferences.  The national coordinating body works hand-in-hand with local organizers of the hosting state to carry out the NECI Conference which has become one of NECI Council's major key events.  This biennial national conference is held on a rotating basis in various states throughout the country.  The idea to rotate the venue of these conferences is to create awareness locally and involve wider local grass root participation.
